I picked my songs based on keeping upbeat, hopeful and moving. I didn’t want songs that got me sad or depressed thinking of whether I will ever get rescued. The choice was not easy and I noticed that my list is dominated by male artists and a mix of various genres. As a Mexican-American, I listen to popular music as well as music from my culture. I can listen to each song for long periods of times.
